Obituary for Beverly Yvonne Robinson Hayes
Beverly Yvonne Robinson Hayes was born on January 9, 1943, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Albert and Laura Robinson.
She was a proud graduate of Stanton Senior High School and a devoted member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for many years. Beverly was also an active participant in her community and found joy and fellowship at The Mary Singleton Senior Center. There, she was involved in several groups, including Live Long and Like It, the Red Hat Society, The Rockettes, and The Voices of Praise choir.
Beverly is survived by her loving children: sons Andre D. Sams (Carolyn), Antonio D. Williams, Dr. L.H. Williams, and daughter Latonya P. Williams. She cherished her role as a mother and poured her heart into raising a family rooted in love, faith, and strength.
She was preceded in death by her siblings: Carnella Chapman, Donna Lynn Robinson, Mercedes Broadnax, and Albert "Butch" Robinson. Beverly was a devoted grandmother to her beloved grandchildren—Jason, Tiffanie, Latoya, Machelle, Andrea, Venetia, Britney and Alisciea. She was also a proud great-grandmother. She also extended her nurturing spirit to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
A spirited supporter of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Beverly cheered for her team with pride. But her greatest joys were found in her family and her faith.
Beverly was a light in every room she entered. She loved to laugh, sing, dance, and travel. Her outgoing nature and soft-spoken grace touched everyone who knew her. She had a heart of gold, a deep love for God, and an unshakable faith. Her life was truly anchored in the Lord, and one of her favorite songs was "God Is."
She leaves in memory a legacy of love, her kind spirit and her love for God. that will forever live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and all who had the blessing of knowing her.
