Charles William Deas was born to the late Charles and Willie Mae Deas in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended the local schools in Duval County. He received Jesus as his savior and studied daily. His salvation was very important to him.

He was instrumental in helping and mentoring many people to recover from addictions. His life had many downs, but he always got back up. When he was a teenager, he was sent to Marianne Dozier schools for boys. He had to fight for his life many times. Thank God that he was able to put that behind him after two years of being tortured. He worked at Gale Installation as a gutter installer for FM Powell Inc. as manager for ten years and for Osteen Volvo.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories, a daughter Shareka Deas, and son Charles William Deas III; sisters Jacquelyn J. Woods, Sonjia Hart Johnson, and Patricia Deas-Bradford; brother, Juan Deas; stepdaughter Doretha K. Ross; granddaughters, Tytianna Newbill, and Delilah Deas, brother-friends, Carlos Gil, Ellis, Walter Strickland, Jessie Costic and many others; niece, Shantel Johnson; nephews, Christopher Houston, Covelle Houston, Kevin Woods, and Reginald and Freddie Johnson; cousin, and special friends including Mrs. Bertha Williams and Tracie McCoy. He will truly be missed.

Mr. Deas may be viewed on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Logan Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204, from 10:00 a.m. Until 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2026, at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Logan Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204.
