Claudette Devoe Glenn was born March 2, 1944, to Janie Devoe and James McQuater. She was the oldest of 9 children. She was married to Joseph Glenn Sr.

Claudette was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Leroy, Nathan, Johnie Sr. and George Sr., sisters Doris and Norma Jean, and her youngest son, Andre Glenn Sr.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Glenn Sr., her sons; Joseph Glenn Jr, Ronald Glenn Sr. (Shanetta), Robert (Sharon) and Richard Glenn Sr, her daughters, Glendale Glenn, Patricia Smith and JoeAnn Glenn; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Glenn may be viewed Friday, April 24, 2026, at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, at New Life Community Church, 113 West 17th Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206 and the interment will be at Restlawn Cemetery.
