OBITUARY

David Michael Smith was born August 18,1986 in Orange Park, Florida to his Parents, Debra Hughes Jarmon and Richard L. Smith, Sr. He attended Orange Glen High School. David enjoyed playing the guitar and his favorite football team was the Los Angeles Rams. His favorite foods were filet mignon, lobster tails and he loved Starbucks. David nicknames were, “Baby Boy”, Papa Joe, & Pop.

At an early age, David gave his life to the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Smith, Sr., his grandfather, Idus Hughes, Sr., Uncles, Idus, Jr. & Clayton Hughes, Aunt, Angela Wright.

David leaves to cherish his memories, parents, Deborah (Elmer) Jarmon; brothers, Eric (Jessica) Wiliams, Richard Smith, Jr, William Smith; Grandmother, Thelma Hughes; Uncle, Lorenzo T. Wright, Sr.; Aunts, Carol H. Tripp, Lori H Troutman, Karen Smith, Jeanene Walton; Niece, Layla Williams; the Smith family from Indiana; Godmother, Yolanda Mitchell, Caregiver, Lisa Dandridge, the and a host of cousins, family and friends

Mr. Smith may be viewed on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 395 Alabama Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177, from 11:00 a.m. Until 12:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 395 Alabama Avenue, Palatka, Florida 32177 and the interment will be in Oakhill East Cemetery.
