Evelyn Maria Desue was born on February 2, 1952, to the parents of Amos Young and Juanita Jenkins. She attended the local Duval County Schools.

Evelyn loved to fellowship with her family and friends, and she loved to dance and was always the life of the party.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Rauls.

Beautiful life of 73 years ended on October 7, 2025.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Vondetta Alford, Kathy Davis, and Yolanda Alexander (Renaldo), sons, Wayne Young, and Larry Thomas, Jr., and grandson Edwin Brown (Nickie); she also leaves 25 grandchildren, over 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; aunts, Maebell Mckenzie and Sharon Toombs; special cousin, Felton Smith; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ms. Evelyn may be viewed on Friday, October 17, 2025, at New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 550 Franklin Street, Baldwin, Florida 32234, from 4:00 p.m. Until 6:30 p.m.. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2025, at New St Paul Missionary Baptist Church and the interment will be in Piney Grove Cemetery, 199 North Lima Street, Baldwin, Florida 32234.
