Fredrick Richard Grant, fondly known as Freddy, entered eternal life on August 24, 2026. He was born to the late Prince, Eugene, and Betty Grant.
Fredrick retired from Methodist Hospital. Fred enjoyed working with the elders. Fred was a mighty warrior. He knew how to hold them, and he knew how to fold them and was quick to say. “I love my Family.” He grew up in Grand Park where he was known for his honesty and being one of the coolest guys ever encountered. Fred attended Grand Park Elementary, Paxon Junior High, and William Raines High School.
Fred was proceeded in death by his parents, Prince, Eugene, and Betty Grant; and his oldest brother, Prince Eugene Grant Junior.
Fred leaves to cherish his memory, one sister Anita L. Burney (Wanza); brothers, Jerry, Michael (Ann), Daniel Grant, Sr. (Benita), and a host of nieces, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Grant may be viewed on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. Until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Emanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 2407 S. L. Badger Jr., Circle, Jacksonville, Florida 32209 and the interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
