Miss Gloria Ann Martin was born October 23,1956 to the late Deacon Edward Smith and Louise Martin. She was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida.  She was a member of Greater Bethany Baptist Church and sang in the Choir Number 3 in her youth years. She was a graduate of Technical High School and joined the United States Army after graduation from high school. She was raised by Christian parents who taught her to always trust and believe in the Lord, and that she did until she was called home.

In addition to being predeceased by her loving parents she was also predeceased by her four brothers Jimmie Lee Smith, Norman Patterson (Jean), Clemie Martin (Pinky Boy), and Jimmie Lee Martin (Bo), Two sisters Jerry Ann Johnson and Nettie Pinckney, and her predeceased daughters, Angel Johnson and Angelina Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her very special daughters Camilla Greene (Fields) and Antoinette Johnson, brother, Cleve Martin and sister Penny Martin; other nieces and nephews are Antoinette Johnson, Melody Cook, Adriene Littlejohn, Crystal Teal, Rochelle Pinkney and Aryonna Johnson, nephews, Lester Whitaker, Anthony Johnson, Dequan Franks, Antonio Robinson and Samar Randolph; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Ms. Martin may be viewed on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home, from 3:00 p.m. Until 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Greater Bethany Baptist Church, 401 Stockton Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204 and the interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery
