Kenneth Elvanzo
Rutledge
Dec 21, 1972 — Mar 4, 2026
A Life in Harmony
Kenneth Elvanzo Rutledge, a man whose life was a soulful song of devotion and service, transitioned to his eternal reward on March 4, 2026. Born on December 21, 1972, in Jacksonville, Florida, Kenneth was a beloved son and brother, and a vibrant light to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Heart for Worship
An unwavering passion for God defined Kenneth's journey. He did not just attend church; he lived his faith through a deep love for worship. Kenneth found great peace and joy in the Ministry of Music, serving faithfully in the choir at the Cathedral of Faith. For Kenneth, lifting his voice, whether in the midst of a congregation or in quiet reflection, was a personal and sincere offering to the Lord. His commitment to service was further evidenced by his time as an Armor Bearer to Apostle James H. Howell, and later as a dedicated member of The Center for Manifestation under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Mark Jones, Sr.
Integrity and Spirit
A proud 1991 graduate of William M. Raines High School, Kenneth's musical roots began as a trumpet player in the legendary marching band. The discipline and spirit he learned there followed him into adulthood, where he became known as a man of profound integrity and generosity. He was a steadfast pillar who moved through the world with a servant's heart and a contagious smile.
A Legacy of Love and Reunion
His faith anchored Kenneth's life, and his family was his greatest earthly joy. He is now peacefully reunited with those who went before him: his devoted parents, Joseph and Doris McNair Rutledge; his brothers, Linzerl Earl Rutledge (Elizabeth) and Kelvin Rutledge (Lillian); and his sister, Angela Rutledge-Peraza.
The melody of his life continues through those who remain to cherish his memory: his brother, Michael Rutledge; his sister, Sherri Rutledge; and his aunt Betty DeBose. He also leaves a legacy of love with his cousins, JoDee Harris and Audrey George-James; his beloved nieces and nephews, Samaiah Peraza-Wyatt, Angel Rutledge, Jasmine Rutledge, Katiera Davis, Linzerl EJ Rutledge, Michael A.D. Rutledge, and Joseph A.B. Rutledge; his goddaughter, Shayla Daymond; and a host of extended family and friends who will never forget the power of his praise.
His Eternal Reward
Kenneth's life was a masterpiece of faith, family, and service. While he has moved on from this earthly journey, we take comfort in knowing he has found eternal peace. His song lives on in the hearts of those he loved, and his spirit rests in the everlasting arms of the Father.
"I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being." — Psalm 104:33
