La’Kavion Dasean James was born January 27, 1997, in Gainesville, Florida to the

parents of Keola James II and Lateasha Manick. La’ Kavion attended the local schools

of Putnam, Clay, and Duval County. He graduated from Alexander Hich School in

Douglasville, Georgia.

La’Kavion enjoyed his life to the fullest playing both football and basketball, he also

enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Later in life La’Kavion moved with his family to Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended

The Potter’s House International Ministries, He was a faithful employee of the Bistro

restaurant.

A beautiful Life of 29 years ended on October 4, 2026.

Mr. James is survived by a faithful family that includes mother, Lateasha Manick (Elon);

father, Keola James II; sister, Jewel, brother Jaydlen; grandparents, Gail Donaldson,

Danny Felder, Melba James, and Keola James, Sr.; stepdaughter, Ka’Mori Wilson;

godmothers, Stacy Hamilton and Tiffany Brown; a host of other relatives among them

Tana James, Averion Ramsey and friends.

Home from 4:00 p.m. Until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m.,

Saturday, October 17, 2026, at The Potter’s House International Ministries, 5119

Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32205, and the interment will be Monday,

October 19, 2026 at Oak Hill Cemetery West, Palatka, Florida.
