Lorraine Barbara Ann Wright was born on January 17, 1948, to Ernestine Robinson and Anderson Blair.

Lorraine had a smile that would light up any room. Her love, loyalty, kindness and compassion were immeasurable. She loved life and made every day memorable, weather it was a small gathering (which was never small with eight children), a cookout, a day getting her hair and nails done or one of our many trips to Golden Corral, it was a day that ended with a story to tell after. Spending time with her family and friends meant everything to her, she did not meet a stranger, once you were introduced, you became family. She loved to dance, no matter the type of music being played she was ready to move with the beat. She was truly a woman with a heart of gold and will definitely be missed.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Ernestine Robinson and Anderson Blair Sr., her son Larry Williams Jr, her brother William Blair and grandmother Stella Mae Oliver.

Lorraine leaves behind her children Gary Williams, Joyce Fedd, R. Michael Fedd, Wautara Wright (Denise Wright), Samantha Jarriel, Brittany Young, Anthony Grubbs Jr, and her Aunt Arleathea Cooks; she also leaves to cherish her memory her 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Jeanette Blair, niece, nephews, cousins, ex tended family members and a host of friends.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Lorraine’s love, laughter and legacy will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Ms. Wright may be viewed on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home, from 4:00 p.m. Until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026, at New Life Community Church, 113 West 17th Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206 and the interment will be at Restlawn Cemetery South.
