Ms. Lynetta Moore Lucas was born December 15, 1966, in Jacksonville, Florida to Rosetta Harper and Eddie James Sr. She graduated from Sandlewood High School.

Furthering her education, she attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville, earning her associate in science degree, becoming an L.P.N. She was a member of Central Truth Development Center.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta Harper, Josanna Johnson, father, Eddie James, Sr, and sister, Sylvia Dallas.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Antonio, Maurice (Stacey), Curtisha (Lee), and Travis Sr., (Sharita); grandchildren, E'Layzha (Zara), Antonia, William (Aurora and Willow), Ja'Terria, Laniyah, Za'Mon, Samya, Travis Jr., Nosiya, Ry'Lee, Aariya, Skye, and Stassi; siblings, Eddie James III, Denise Moore, Brian Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms. Lucas may be viewed Friday, April 24, 2026, at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, at The Citadel Church Jacksonville,1057 Arlington Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.
