Obituary

Madeline Bell was born in Miami, Florida on June 25, 1942, to the parents of Emanuel Smith and Maggie Bell.

Ms. Bell was a creative spirit that was full of life, she enjoyed interior design, drafting and teaching art. Later in life she moved to Jacksonville, Florida.

A beautiful life of 84 years ended on September 20, 2026.

Ms. Bell is survived by a devoted family that includes children, Bruce Rawls, Anthony Rawls, Verna Rawls, Karen Simmons and Desiree Simmons; 17 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms. Bell may be viewed Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. Until 6:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held for Ms. Bell on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 800 Hammond Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32221
