Martha Theresa Shuman was born November 12, 1943, in Abbeville, Georgia to Stepheny, Durham, Jr. and Rosa Durham. She graduated from Stanton High School in 1961. Martha worked for the State of Florida until retirement. She was a member of Sanctuary of Mount Calvery and was a loyal servant of the Lord.  Martha enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping.

Sunset for Martha was December 31, 2025.    She was preceded in death by her lifetime partner, Roscoe Powell; Father Stephany Durham, Jr; Mother Rose Durham; sisters, Eunice Orene Butler, Sandra Powell and Karen Durham; brothers, Stepheny Durham II, and Kenneth Durham.

Martha leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Harvey Shuman, Randall Shuman, and Sherry Fuller; grandchildren, Paris Shuman, Timothy Weatherington, Sr., and Dewayne Fuller, Jr.,

Great-grandchildren, Timia, Timothy Jr., and Terra Weatherington.

Martha leaves her brother and sister Rose Well (Jerry), Charles Durham (Diane), to extend their love to her family, and a host of family members and loyal friends to honor her legacy.

Ms. Shuman, Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at The Sanctuary @ Mt. Calvary Church, 2360 Kings Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32209 and the interment will be In Restlawn Cemetery South.
