Obituary

Ronald "Tyga" Whitehead, born on November 18, 1976, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Patricia Polite and Ronald Whitehead Sr., he was taken from us unexpectedly on October 4, 2025. Tyga grew up in Baldwin, FL, where his love for life, family, and adventure took root. Whether it was the smell of barbecue filling the air or the peace he found while fishing, these simple joys stayed with him throughout his life.

Tyga's journey came full circle when he met the love of his life, Etrenda Badger Whitehead, in Jacksonville. Their bond was undeniable, and together, they created a beautiful, blended family filled with love, laughter, and a lifetime of memories.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Maggie Meeks and his grandfathers, Verdell Whitehead Sr. and Alvin Morris

Tyga leaves behind his adoring wife, Etrenda Badger Whitehead, and their cherished children: Jalecia Whitehead, Enya Badger Whitehead, Ronald Whitehead III, EKendra Badger, and Kiara Badger. Grandchildren Baylee Sanders, Twins Isaiah and Jauzyiah  Bivins , Briston Badger, Kamani Hill, EKenyiah Badger. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia Polite; father, Ronald Whitehead Sr. (Judy); his loving grandmother, Annie Lois Whitehead; sisters, Katina Morris, Mikeia Morris, Brittney Polite (Carlos), Luciana Cummings-Steadman (Jerry); his brother Donte Polite; aunts, Deborah Journey, Gwendolyn Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Tyga was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. His smile could light up a room, and his generous heart knew no limits. There was nothing he wouldn't do for those he cared about—whether it was offering help or simply lending a listening ear. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he always showed up, no matter what.

Known for his entrepreneurial spirit, Tyga thrived as a serial businessman, turning his passions into successful ventures. But no matter how busy life got, he never lost sight of what truly mattered—his family, his friends, and his community.

Above all, Tyga was a devoted husband, father, grandson, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and selflessness that will never be forgotten.

Tyga's presence may no longer be with us, but his love and light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
