Yakemah Olivia Sharp was born on August 4, 2001, to Marlena Boykins and Marion Byrd III.

Yakemah attended Matthew Gilbert Middle School and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. She was a flag girl for Andrew Jackson High School Marching Tigers under the leadership of Reginald Mitchell.

She loved her daughter Mila and being around family. She was raised in Free Spirit Worldwide Assembly where she sang in the youth choir. To know her was to love her. Her smile would light up a room.

Yakemah was preceded in death by her biological father Marion Byrd III.

She leaves to cherished her memories, her daughter Mila, parents Jeffrey and Audrey Sharp; biological mother Marlena Boykins; brothers, Oli Washington of Atlanta, Georgia, Marion Byrd III of Alaska, Jaylen Moore, and Duane Woods III; sisters, Mikeyah Boykins, Kailyna Covington, Mariona, Hananiah, Marinigh and Marie Byrd, Tavisha Burney, Monica Burns, Rhonda Brown, Demetria, Sabrina, Ronnita, and Domonique Sharp; grandfather, Marion Byrd, Sr. (Annette), and Richard Polk; grandmother Jimisena Byrd, and Winnie George of Rhode Island; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and god sister Rebecca Nerio.

Yakemah may be viewed on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Carthage Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., 929 West Beaver Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at New Life Community Church, 113 West 17th Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206
